Bead Stitch Crochet Hat is a slightly slouchy hat made by combining rounds of bead stitch with rounds of half double crochet to give it a lot of texture. It is finished with a post stitch ribbing along the bottom and a faux fur pom pom on the top. Rows of bead stitch and simple solid stitches create very interesting pattern. I love the texture that can be created by combining different crochet stitches. This structural design will look great in any colour, Caron Simply Soft yarn or mixed colours.
We have video tutorial below, but you can also buy written pattern for 2.00$ here. This is a wonderfully squishy, stretchy, textured Bead Stitch Crochet Hat , perfect for Southern winters here in Georgia, USA. I love that this can easily be made into a slouchy beanie, fitted beanie, or messy bun hat. Once you get the feel of the pattern repeat, it becomes a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
Before you dive in, it would be a great idea to head to Pinterest and create a “Crochet Hats” board if you don’t already have one. (You can see my Crochet Hats board here.)
