Once you master the basic granny square crochet method, you can expand upon the design to make various useful projects. From blankets and apparel to accessories like bags and placemats. Many people use the term “Crochet granny square” to refer to any type of crocheted square but this tutorial covers how to make a true granny square. This is a blanket “recipe “ which combines granny squares with two colour brioche knitted squares, there is also an easier k1p1 rib option provided as an alternative to the brioche. This is more of an explanation than a formal pattern as I think you should be able to use YouTube videos to work out how to make granny squares and learn brioche knitting.
